according to multiple Star Trek episodes, once the average daily temperature exceeds 50 C, you are no longer on an M-class planet. Seems we have a ways to go but Vegas sounds awful nonetheless. It’s nice in Reykjavik though.
The moment that stayed with me was the farmer asking, “What can we do?” while watering his rows. There is something especially unsettling about that question coming from someone who works so closely with the land and can see the changes unfolding season by season.

That was exactly my reaction. I didn’t ask him what he thought of the heat and fires. He volunteered it.
